Data You Give Us Directly
Information is collected directly only when a visitor chooses to provide it, such as through a communication or an interactive feature. That may include a name, email address, and the content submitted. Do not send criminal records to this resource. Official Bond County requests belong with the record-holding agency.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal web technology may record an IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, visited pages, access time, and general location. Cookies or similar technologies can remember settings, measure traffic, and support advertising. Browser controls can limit cookies, though some features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Collected data may be used to operate and secure the service, understand which Bond County resources are useful, diagnose technical faults, measure site traffic, and meet legal obligations. It is not used to create an official Illinois criminal history file.
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Bond County Criminal History does not keep rap sheets, police reports, court files, jail rosters, warrant lists, or I-SORT profiles. Those records remain with the Bond County Sheriff, Circuit Clerk, Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification, Illinois Department of Corrections, or another official custodian. Illinois public access is governed in part by the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140, while dissemination of ISP conviction information follows the Uniform Conviction Information Act, 20 ILCS 2635.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are supplied by independent companies. Information entered into those tools goes to the provider, not to Bond County government. Each provider controls its own collection, retention, pricing, and privacy terms. Review that provider's policy before submitting data.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Bond County offices, Illinois agencies, court systems, I-SORT, or private services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's policy governs. This resource does not control or accept responsibility for another site's privacy practices, security, or content.
Who Might See Your Data
Information may be shared with vendors that support hosting, analytics, security, or site functions; when required by law, court process, or a valid government demand; to protect rights, users, or systems; or during a sale, merger, or transfer of the service. Personal information is not sold as a standalone mailing list.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. Absolute confidentiality cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. It does not knowingly seek personal information from minors.
Your Data Rights
Depending on applicable law, a user may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or limits on certain uses of personal information. Browser settings can also manage cookies. These rights concern data handled by this private resource, not official Bond County or Illinois records held under FOIA, UCIA, court rules, or other law.
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change as site practices or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when posted here, and continued use after posting is subject to the updated policy.
